Why Millennials make the best advertisers?

Let’s gets this straight once and for all. Yes, this is completely an attempt to sell us as the best advertisers in the market- because “selling” is what we do best. *While still tackling a very true and relevant issue.

Millennials make the best advertisers because we are the most misunderstood and misjudged generation. We also happen to be the “sweet spot” target market when it comes to advertising. Every business wants a piece of us. We are the ones that are buying products and being either positive or negative advocates of them. Businesses understand that they must reach and connect with us correctly and efficiently… and who can better understand how to do this than millennial advertisers ourselves.

Millennials have had to accept and brush off the constant bad reputation that the pure name “Millennial” carries. Many say we are lazy, full of ourselves, disrespectful, self-absorbed, dependent and unwilling to cooperate. Most people from other generations just simply do not understand us, but that’s ok. We are different… and we know that. We see the world through a different lens. Most of us find it hard to understand and fit in the corporate world, its hierarchical system that at times does not make any sense due to the way we were wired up.

We could never abide by the rule “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.” Innovation and creativity is something we need to do on a daily basis, no matter what. That is why there is a huge rise in startups, bloggers and technologies. We were brought up with a world of information at our hands. Often, it seemed like we had everything we could ever want and need. And that is exactly why we were always encouraged and expected to think outside the box -to be creative and find the value in failing in order to succeed.

Trust me, we are quite the opposite of all these misconceptions. We may seem lazy, mainly because we do not like the typical work environment. The reality is we actually work double or triple the amount of hours than everybody else. Technology and gadgets are so ingrained into our daily lives, that we never really stop working. We are always connected. Millennials have the entrepreneurial mindset. We cannot accept things for what they are. We have ideas and we must act upon them.

We are confident, fun, laid-back, self-expressive, upbeat, open to change, hard workers, trendsetters, innovators and most importantly creators.

When it comes to advertising, what you need the most are innovators and creators. One thing that makes me a proud millennial is that we truly understand that our job sooner or later becomes our life. So we will settle for nothing less than to do what we love the most. This is why you can be assured that when you do business with a millennial, they will not only deliver -they will deliver the best quality of work possible because they want to feel proud of it. When it comes to doing what we love, -our passion- we are always ethical, hard-working, innovative, respectful and successful. We embody creativity and innovation, and advertising is all about that. So, I don’t know about you, but I think millennials are the perfect match when it comes to moving a brand further and making a positive impact in consumers’ minds through the use of advertising and marketing.
