Senior Digital Strategist

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing, executing, optimizing, and analyzing digital advertising campaigns that drive measurable results across search, display, retargeting, and social platforms. This role combines performance marketing expertise with strategic insight and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the Digital Director, the strategist partners closely with creative, research, and account teams to ensure campaigns are data-driven, on-brand, and aligned with client goals.

  • Proven track record in a senior-level strategic role, with demonstrated leadership in digital campaign planning and execution
  • Willingness to relocate to San Antonio, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of integrated paid media campaigns across platforms including Google Search, Display, Retargeting, and Social (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Deliver clear, data-driven performance reporting with strategic insights and actionable recommendations for internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee full-funnel performance strategy, from audience segmentation and SEM/paid social messaging to bid strategy, budget pacing, and conversion tracking.
  • Develop and implement measurement frameworks using tracking pixels, UTM parameters, custom audiences, and goal-based attribution models.
  • Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and platform-native dashboards to surface insights, inform optimization, and guide future planning.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and actionable recommendations to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations across ad platforms, martech, and digital strategy—applying insights to enhance future campaign effectiveness.
  • Support SEO strategy by identifying technical issues, optimizing landing pages, and guiding content improvements.
  • Maintain strategic documentation, including media plans, campaign roadmaps, briefs, reporting frameworks, and budget tracking.
  • Conduct periodic audits of websites and campaign landing pages to ensure performance, accuracy, and alignment with business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on performance media and SEM.
  • Proven expertise in Google Ads (Search & Display), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and paid social platforms.
  • Google Ads Certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and experience optimizing content and landing pages.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred).
  • Experience managing budgets, pacing, and A/B testing across paid channels.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required.
